Spring Trail Cleanups

Come join a trail cleanup to help get the trails ready for peak trail season! For all of these events, please dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, and bring your own gloves if you have them. We'll see you out there!

Mohawk River Trail North Cleanup
Date: Saturday, April 11
Time: 9 AM
Location: Meet in the parking lot of the Fish Hatchery (8306 Fish Hatchery Rd, Rome).
Details: Bring your own gloves and wear close-toed shoes. Bags and a few grabbers will be provided by the City. No need to RSVP, just show up!

Canal Clean Sweep
Date: Saturday, April 18
Time: 9 AM - 11 AM
Location: Bellamy Harbor Park
Details: Friends of Kari (non-profit) is hosting this clean-up along the Erie Canalway Trail and it is open to the public. No registration, just show up the day of if you are interested.

Mohawk River Trail Cleanup

Time: 1 PM
Location: Meet at MVCC parking lot next to the trail (off of Floyd Ave)
Description: Reach out to Kevin Wyrick (kevin_wyrick@nps.gov) if you are interested in joining, so we can get a head count

Greatest American Cleanup (Rome Clean and Green)
Date: Saturday, April 25th
Time: 9 AM
Location: All of Rome

Cycle the Erie Canal Welcoming Block Party

Join us on July 16th on West Dominick Street for our welcoming block party, held as part of the annual Cycle the Erie Canal Tour. This event celebrates visiting cyclists traveling the Erie Canalway Trail as they pass through Rome. Come meet riders, celebrate our canal heritage, and enjoy the community spirit of downtown Rome.
